Welcome to “30 Days of Praise!” Every once in a while I go into a month long journey of fasting, praying and praising. It helps me re-commit my life to Christ, keep my priorities in order, slow down from the craziness of everyday life and take time to really listen to what God wants to tell me. I am always amazed and excited where my journey takes me, and this time I will be journaling everyday and sharing my experiences with you.
Day 30~
I recently read a series by Lynnette Kraft called “What is your blog’s value?”. Not only does Lynnette help you consider how to make your blog valuable, she also gives tips along the way to help make your blog reach it’s greatest potential, and therefore leaving you satisfied and not discouraged as a blogger. Her posts really blessed me this week and I wanted to share them with you!
As I was reading last night I came across these scriptures that perfectly state what I believe and what this blog represents.
2 Corinthians 4:7-10, 13-18 The Book aka NLT
7 But this precious treasure – this light and power that now shine within us – is held in perishable containers, that is, in our weak bodies. So everyone can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own.
8 We are pressed on every side with troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. 9 We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. 10 Through suffering, these bodies of ours constantly share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believe in God, and so I speak.” 14 We know that the same God who raised our Lord Jesus and present us to himself along with you. 15 All these things are for your benefit. And as God’s grace brings more and more people to Christ, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.
16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed everyday. 17 For our present troubles are quite small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurable great glory that will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not seen yet. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever!
I thank you for following along with me as I begin this journey and work out the “kinks” of being a blogger. I’m excited to walk this path of faith with you in daily encouragement and sharing, praying that the light of Jesus may shine through me and you will desire a greater walk with him. I have several projects I am inspired to start that I know will help my blog reach “it’s greatest potential” an in turn help your faith reach “it’s greatest potential”.
See you soon!
