30 Days of Praise … Day 18 – A Servant For Christ

Welcome to “30 Days of Praise!” Every once in a while I go into a month long journey of fasting, praying and praising. It helps me re-commit my life to Christ, keep my priorities in order, slow down from the craziness of everyday life and take time to really listen to what God wants to tell me. I am always amazed and excited where my journey takes me, and this time I will be journaling everyday and sharing my experiences with you.

Day 18~
I am so tired this weekend! I have been so busy working for God all week and the weather has been in the 90′s to boot!

A short recap of my week:
Sunday – sleep in and church all afternoon.
Monday – I babysat for a friend at 9 am then went to her house to teach her to sew, home by 4:30 to  make supper for my nephew
Tuesday – Morning bible study at 9, then a friend and her 2 babies came over until 6:30 pm, cooked supper for 8
Wednesday – Washed 6 loads of laundry and hung on the line! Cleaned and washed my car inside and out, made 5 kids skirts and an adult skirt for church members, bible study at 7pm
Thursday – Morning bible study/lunch served 30+, took my friend with her 2 babies shopping then back to my house to cook supper for 9.
Friday – Family BBQ for the day, church street meeting at 6 pm, it was so great to see my niece and nephew whom I haven’t seen since Christmas!
Saturday – Church car wash 8 – 12:30, home to rest until church street meeting at 6 pm

WHEW the recap even sounds exhausting! LOL

I thank God for convicting me to do what is right and to put other’s before my own desires. Even though I am exhausted, I feel completely fulfilled to know that I have done my absolute best to serve Christ through serving others this week. And although my physical body is begging for rest, my spiritual man is overflowing with the presence of God.

We have really been having some breakthrough’s lately with sinner’s coming to the church and getting saved. It’s such a miracle watching their lives change before my eyes. I never want to take God’s spirit and anointing for granted! What a beautiful savior we serve!

I’m writing this during my Saturday afternoon break so I’m going to make it short today to hopefully sneak in a nap! What a miracle that God has given me the energy to accomplish all that I have this week. I thank God that I don’t have to dwell on the physical things that are wrong with my body, but instead I can focus on God and his calling. I know he will take care of me when I am willing to serve others.
