Welcome to ”30 Days of Praise!” Every once in a while I go into a month long journey of fasting, praying and praising. It helps me re-commit my life to Christ, keep my priorities in order, slow down from the craziness of everyday life and take time to really listen to what God wants to tell me. I am always amazed and excited where my journey takes me, and this time I will be journaling everyday and sharing my experiences with you.
Day 1~
Well it’s not surprising that day 1 starts with a time of breaking and spiritual warfare! I’ve had a terrible migraine and having a hard time focusing on anything. But God is still good and I will continue to Praise Him! God cannot shape me until he firsts breaks down the old vessel. He takes my life, an old ugly lump of clay, and makes something beautiful out of it with the gentle working his Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 64:8 “But now, O Lord, thou art our Father, we are the clay; and thou the potter, and we are the work of thy hand.”
There will always be opposition coming against me when I commit my life to Christ and His will. The devil does not want me to get the victory, because then he looses his hold on me. But it NEVER surprises me when the devil attacks and tries to trip me up. It is his job. I do not fear the attack of the enemy, rather ignore it and praise God! You see, the devil would like to deceive me into believing that God has failed and will not fulfill his promises. He’s trying to distract from what God want’s to do and get me to focus on circumstances and negativity. But I know he is a liar seeking to destroy …
1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because our advesary the devil, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”
I will not fear the enemy because ..
1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world.”
God is GREATER then any enemy out there. Whether it be addiction, disease, poverty, rebellion, witchcraft, depression or any other evil thing sent by the devil. God will give the strength to overcome any hinderance in our path once we learn to give Him our lives in total submission, let him re-make us on the potter’s wheel, and trust that no matter where He takes us we will be better off because of it!
